A Perfect Week, north Mallorca

Wanting to know a quick roundup of everything you could pack into a week in north Mallorca? We've got you covered. Here is a selection of highlights we recommend to our guests.

Saturday - Arrival day

You've arrived in Mallorca! There are many things to see and to experience in north Mallorca, so get set for an exciting week ahead! First things first though, it's time to stock the fridge and relax, unpack and get familiar with your home for the week. We recommend taking it easy, either wandering into town in the evening for dinner or even better have a home-cook prepare you with traditional Mallorcan cuisine to kick off your first night in Spain.

Sunday - Market day

Pollença old town is the place to be on Sunday morning. Visit the 365 Calvari Steps and enjoy the panoramic views from the top; visit the local market for fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers; and, then head over to Cap de Formentor (the most northern part of Mallorca) and its lighthouse (road opening times between June - September are limited). Here you will without a doubt experience some of the most spectacular views of the island. Port Pollença has a wide range of restaurants, so why not have a lovely dinner by the sea and taste fresh fish from the harbour.

Monday - Serra de Tramuntana

Spend a day discovering all the hidden jewels in our beloved Serra de Tramuntana. In 2011 this mountain range was awarded World Heritage Status by UNESCO. The idyllic villages of Valldemossa, Soller, and Deià cannot be missed. On your way back home, stop off at the unspoilt and hidden Caves of Campanet, and enjoy a coffee while soaking in the beautiful valley.

Tuesday - Day on the water

One of the best ways to see Mallorca's coasts is by boat. Book a day excursion, either sailing or in a speed boat, and spend the day swimming, snorkelling, enjoying a meal in a quiet little bay, fishing…

Wednesday - Day in the City

There is a lot to see and do in Palma, the capital of Mallorca. Palma comes as a surprise to many people - it is stylish, sophisticated, intimate, yet bursting with life. Half of Mallorca's population lives here, enjoying the island's best restaurants, shops and nightlife, as well as a thriving arts scene and a lively cafe society. Places not to be missed: the Gothic Cathedral, Bellver Castle, the fantastic marina with some of the most exclusive yachts.

Thursday - Outdoor sports day or wine tour

From golf to scuba diving, there are many activities to choose from, including cycling, trekking, hiking, horse riding, windsurf, kayak… an infinity of activities!

If you're not a sporty type of person you could take this opportunity to sample to wonderful wines Mallorca produces. With plenty of vineyards around the island, one of the oldest is Bodega Ribas in Consell or a more local wine is at the impressive Mortitx winery in the mountains near Pollença.

Friday - R&R

After a whistle-stop tour of the island, Friday is a day to relax and take in everything you've experienced here in Mallorca. Maybe head off to a beach in the area. Some highlights include Formentor beach, Cala Sant Vicenç or S'illot.
